The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro seized videos that showed William Sousa Guedes, one of Rio’s drug lords, training to participate in shootouts. The criminal was arrested on Wednesday, 3, in Jacarezinho, North Zone.

Also known as Corolla, he is a trusted man in the Red Command and acted as a drug trafficking boss in Morro do São Vicente, also in the ZN of Rio.

The situation simulates a shootout – in which he would need both the gun and protection.

Who is Corolla

According to the Civil Police of Rio, Corolla is close to Wilton “Abelha” Quintanilha, from the top leadership of the Red Command. 

The search for the man took place by the alleged command to the invasion of the Red Command to Morro dos Macacos, commanded by the opposite faction Third Pure Command.

William is also a suspect in the death of Daniel Henrique Marioti, a PM officer, in 2019. He is responsible for a total of nine arrest warrants, in addition to having 54 criminal records.
